'Swinging Lunch Time Rock Sessions' at the Liverpool Jazz Society (later known as the Iron Door Club), 13, Temple Street ( off  Dale Street and Victoria Street). After the success of the 12 hour music marathon that started at 8pm the previous Saturday, the Beatles returned to this venue to participate in a 5 hour afternoon 'mini marathon' interchanging with Gerry and the Pacemakers and Rory Storm and the Wild Ones, which started at 12 noon.

The Beatles had played at the Cavern club between 12 noon and 1pm and then moved  across to the Jazz Society, their first performance was at 2pm. If you were a member of the Liverpool Jazz Society entrance was 1/-(5p), otherwise the price was 1/6(7.5p)
