The Number One Star Show at the Tower Ballroom, New Brighton, Wallasey, Merseyside L45, was the first of numerous shows throughout the latter part of 1962 where the Beatles would play alongside well known artists of the time. This concert was topped by the Americans, Bruce Channel and the Barons who had just had a top ten hit with 'Hey Baby'. Delbert Mclinton played on Harmonica, who later inspired John Lennon.
