| Goebel Figurine set | Set of four statues, one of each Beatle, standing 8 1/2" tall. Manufactured by Goebel of Germany. Brightly coloured figures with the Goebel Hummel stamp on the bottom of each . . Goebel in Germany was attempting to produce porcelain dolls of the Beatles to commemorate the release of the film, Yellow Submarine...supposedly Goebel had some trouble with the colours they were using in their kilns and after a hundred or so were made, they stopped production...each of the Beatles were given a set as were a few lucky Apple employees...the few left were sold and saved for prosterity.
